The Business and Community Ambassador’s tasks and responsibilities will consist of the following:
Attend and support local summer festivals and agricultural events throughout Middlesex County to promote the Community Futures brand whose mandate includes supporting local small businesses and job creation.
Support existing and new partnerships with businesses, community groups, organizations and service groups in working with The Business Help Centre on community projects.
Respond to enquiries from the public about rural business supports and financing offered by The Business Help Centre
Create and collect marketing materials that can be used to promote The Business Help Centre and local businesses throughout the year. This may include videos, photos, blog stories, that can be circulated and shared by The Business Help Centre throughout various marketing channels.
Provide creative content for social media and digital marketing campaigns
Assist with social media and communications related to the Business Help Centre and its activities and services.
Conduct informational interviews to discover the needs and concerns of rural entrepreneurs.
Assist with sourcing, creating and implementing marketing activities for our fall lineup of business workshops.
We wear a lot of hats at The Business Help Centre so other duties that may apply goes with the territory.
Must have access to a vehicle as we are in a rural location in Poplar Hill with no public transportation available.
This summer experience opportunity will provide an exciting opportunity for a young creative talent to support local, rural entrepreneurs and Middlesex communities. The lucky employee will represent the Business Help Centre at a number of fairs, festivals and markets to promote and increase visibility of the centre. This position would be ideal for students returning to school in September and studying marketing, business, digital media, journalism, economic development or other associated diploma/degree.
