Cranberri Country Market is a family business owned and operated by Emma Dayment and her mother Margret Williams. They opened on November 7,2008.
Before opening Cranberri, Emma went to school to study tourism, travel, and office administration. Not happy with her career choice, she and her mother decided it was the right time to try to open an indoor market:
“It was a combination of ideas between my mother and me. She wanted somewhere inside to sell produce and I wanted to supply baked goods. We elaborated when we saw there was a need for things like lunch and coffee and have expanded from there”.
Cranberri has been open for over 9 years now and has become the neighbourhood destination for quality local produce and fresh baking. The store employs 4 locals, who help in catering to the Mount Brydges market.
Emma handles the day-to-day operations of the store, while Margret is responsible for providing fresh produce. They both work hard to provide their customers with the best possible service:
"We listen to our customers to see what they want and what we can provide. We do not have the facilities for everything, but the things that we can do and that they want, we do”.
Cranberri aims to provide the community with local produce, as well as support local businesses in the area. In Emma’s words, “shop local, buy local”.
Emma explains that the store “tries to carry as much local products from other vendors as possible. It’s nice to support each other and provide things as locally as possible. I’m supporting them, they’re supporting me and we’re all supporting each other”.
Cranberri Market is open year round. and offers products such as local produce, homemade desserts and jams, frozen meals, lunch, fruit baskets and more. They also offer catering for parties and events. You can come in, get your shopping done, and grab lunch all at Cranberri!
